If you have watched futuristic Sci-Fi movies, the Adidas Yeezy Foam Runner looks like they belong there, but as the millennials say, trust the process. Yeezy is known for his quirky style but it is worth noting that he is a visionary at best. He has demonstrated his creative prowess through music and now footwear. At first glance, you think of the famous Crocs, but these seem to be a great improvement on the concept. They look comfortable and light which is an added benefit for the wearer.
The nitty gritty’s of the Yeezy Foam Runner
The Adidas Yeezy Foam Runner officially debuted in the US in June 2020 and retailed at $75 USD. They are made of a sustainable algae-based foam which is sustainable and environment friendly. This is a win for earth at a time where global warming is running rampant. The perforated oval shapes that run along the silhouette of the shoe are what make the foam runner the perfect shoe for a hot summer day especially when you don’t feel like exposing your feet. They are also slip-ons so there’s no muss and fuss in wearing these.
Mixed Reactions
When they first dropped these, they received mixed reactions with some dubbing them “Yeezy Croc”, but unsurprisingly, the shoe sold out. We could be seeing a shift in shoe wear trends, where Yeezy’s one up the Crocs gang. Crocs were always teased for being unfashionable, yet everyone seems to own a pair so by our estimate, it won’t be long before the Yeezy Foam Runner’s become a household staple. We can’t deny that Adidas definitely has notable collaborations under their belt so this one comes as no surprise.
So don’t count them out just yet because fashion is weird that way.
